Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop working relationships with youth in the programs and work through issues around motivation, attendance, discipline and inspiration through re-framing, honest communication, empathy, and self-understanding
  • Facilitate life skill workshops pertaining to money management, self-care, and resume and cover letter writing
  • Reports maintenance needs to the Director of Administration
  • Assist Facilities Coordinator with the cleaning and repair of units on move-out as appropriate
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of fire regulations, emergency preparedness, procedures for evacuating the residents and the operation of and locations of all fire and safety equipment
  • Assists in the transportation of equipment, furniture, and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts
  • Assist with employment-related research for NYSA’s employment training programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Between the ages of 15-30 years old
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check

Contract length: Temporary, 10 weeks

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

Salary: $15.20 per hour

All staff and visitors must observe and abide by maximum occupancy numbers posted in all common areas. Face masks are required, hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the premise, and health checks completed daily.
