Nanaimo Youth Services Association continues to develop a broader role in speaking on, and assisting youth to speak on, social issues and opportunities for young people in the community. Our advocacy role is non-partisan, seeking to educate and inform. We support legislation, policy and practice that will enable children and youth to reach their full potential and to participate in making a better world. 

NYSA's principles promote advocacy, economic justice, quality and community based services, freedom from violence, cultural integrity, and child-friendly communities for children and youth. We share the view that children and youth are society's most important resource.
