your community? Are you interested in developing a community
project? Are you interested in protecting and enhancing the
environment?
Nanaimo Youth Services can help...
Through community projects, youth are
able to make a positive difference in their community, and
to define their values and interests. Participants also
develop knowledge and skills that will transfer to further
training and employment. Previous community projects have
involved youth in all aspects of community service and
development. They were created in order to introduce youth
to the process and practice of community and environmental
development.
Within a supportive program framework,
NYSA works with community partners in focus areas identified
through the project development process. Youth work in teams
to assess, plan, organize, manage, promote and deliver
services which benefit and strengthen the local community.
