BladeRunners links contractors, trades people and construction sector employers with youth. A Youth Skills Link, wage subsidy program intended to provide employment to out of school and unemployed youth 15-30 years of age, with employment opportunities and trades training in the construction sector.

BladeRunners is a Youth Skills Link program that creates valuable employment opportunities, and promotes Individual Success and Independence through Partnerships within the Construction & Trades Industry.

In this you will:

Be encouraged to participate in a pre-employment training program
Obtain skill enhancements such as: WBC Occupational First Aid - Level One, WHIMS, Fall Protection & Ladder Safety, Construction Hazards, Respiratory Protection, Traffic Control Person Certification, Forklift Operator Certification, and other related tickets.
Participate in Construction Safety and Awareness Training.
Receive career development support and guidance.
Receive Individualized job coaching, tutoring and mentorship
Be assisted into employment and apprenticeships where possible
Be guided and supported through the apprenticeship process
