Youth participate in a real life, hands on print medium and journalistic newspaper publishing experience. Active participation in this publishing venture is free and available to all youth with in the age cohort of 13 to 30 years that NYSA’s mission serves.

The publication remains a youth managed; youth produced newspaper published in partnership with the Nanaimo Daily News who prints the hard copy. However, the content is  otherwise researched, written and contributed by youth columnists who have been recruited from each of the High schools in School district #68 ages 18 years and under.

The Mind’s Eye is successfully published once a month under the banner of NYSA who sponsors the publication and the Association and employs a part time editor to coordinate the monthly publication on time and budget.
